Petit Lijiang Inn is the extension of the well established Petit Lijiang Bookcafe (www.petitlijiang.com. Address: No.50, Chong Ren Alley, Qi Yi Street, Old Town, Lijiang; Tel: 0888-5111255). Located in 2 traditional Naxi courtyards, on a hill next to the old town of Lijiang, the unique apartment-courtyard-hotel is fully furnitured and equipped, specially designed for travelers who value space, local atmosphere, convenience, privacy and, of course, comfort. It is especially suitable for family travelers and/or travelers of longer stay. Situated in an authentic Naxi neighborhood, one can experience a few days of the “real local life” amid the amicable Naxi neighbors of the Petit Lijiang Inn.
Location
The hotel is situated in the North Gate Hill, Bei Men Po, of Lijiang old town. On foot, it is 10 minutes away from the old town; by car, it takes about 3 minutes to reach. This northern hill is separated from the old town by only 1 street, Jin Hong Road, while miraculously, it is also exempted from the crowds and the noises so closely.
The North Gate Hill is connected with Jin Hong Mountain and Elephant hill, with several shortcuts leading into the picturesque Black Dragon Pool Park. This area is lushly green, densely covered with varied kinds of fruit trees, flowers and plants, with traditional Naxi courtyards dotted along the hill. Though just a road away, compared with the busy crowded Old Town, the atmosphere in North Gate Hill is tranquil and leisurely, like that of the Lijiang old town 10 years ago.
Just 5-minute’s walk from the hotel, there’s a Bei Men Market downhill. The market is a complex of a supermarket, a bakery and a traditional food market. One can find almost all necessities there.
Hotel
The Petit Lijiang Inn consists of 2 traditional courtyards with 2 apartment-suites in each courtyard. Both courtyards have a traditional structure, that is, a wooden 2-story house with a private inner court. Adorned with bamboo bushes in front of each entrance, the 2 courtyards have the typical looks of local Naxi houses; while fully furbished and equipped inside, they also provide customers with up-to-date modern convenience.
